New Components

Once the new increment is deployed, update the change log to list any new components (classes, fields, and so forth) being added to the version, by using a Javascript macro to scrape the package details page.

The components you add to a managed package are threshold events.

Some components cannot be removed, other components may need permissions assigned, and every component adds to the web of dependencies.

To capture the components being added to a new package version, this gist contains a Chrome bookmark (developed by Jeff Hube) that can be opened on the package manifest page.

When prompted, enter the next highest major version number.

The bookmark generates a plain-text page that you can copy and paste to your change log. 

• For best results, use (Ctrl-A) or (Cmd-A) to select the entire page.
